Our Story: From Studio to School
Pearlbay began in 2017 as Pearlbay Music Studio, a professional recording facility founded by CEO Chatura Masinha. With its success, we quickly expanded, launching the Pearlbay Music Store to provide high-end audio equipment to aspiring and established artists.
A pivotal moment arrived in 2020 when Mr. Masinha partnered with legendary music producer Ranga Dasanayake. Recognising the need for formal audio education in South Asia, they established the Pearlbay Institute. Their vision was to create a state-of-the-art educational hub focused on nurturing creative talent and preparing students for the real-world demands of a professional career in music.
